Every regional passport office has different timings and staff behavior. In my case, I went to my regional passport office, which is in a small district. The staff was quite friendly, helpful, and cooperative. The passport office staff has one Officer, one peon, and a policeman. So, all steps are done in one single place. I mean, biometrics, picture, and submit the application form at the same counter. They were quite lovely people.

Step 3: In this step, capture a photograph. So be prepared for a photo to look handsome.

Track Your Passport

After submission of the passport application, you can track your passport, whether it is printed or in process. You get your tracking code on your Receipt which was given by the regional passport office to collect your passport. Use the tracking SMS service by sending an eleven-digit tracking token number to 9988 by SMS, standard charges will apply.

Passport Renewal Fee 2025

• Normal 36-page passport fee for 5 years is Rs 4,500 (for 10 years Rs 6,700)

Lost Passport

If you lost your passport for the first time, don’t get worried about that, you can apply again but you have to pay the lost passport fee. For the first time, the ordinary passport fee is Rs 6,000 while the urgent is Rs 10,000. The fee will be doubled, which will be Rs 12,000 normally, while urgent is Rs 20,000 and so on.

• Credit or Debit Master/Visa Card or JazzCash/Easypaisa
• Laptop/Computer with high-speed internet
• Colour Scanner/Printer
• Stamp pad for fingerprints

The method of Pakistan Passport Online Renewal

First of all, open the official website of DGIP (Directorate General Immigration and Passports). Now, this is the official dashboard of the DGIP website. Click on Apply from the top menu, and you will see the image below. Create a new account for the Pakistani passport renewal on the website. Now, you will receive a verification email from the system. Open your registered email and verify the account.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Now, log in to your account. Scan the QR code by downloading any Google authenticator in your mobile and enter the generated PIN. Then, a page of terms and conditions will appear, and you have to click on the ‘agree’ button.

Step 2: This is the home page of the passport application begin. Click on “New Application”.

Step 3: Are you applying from Pakistan? Click “Yes”.

Step 4: Renewal of passport for Pakistanis residing in Pakistan.

Step 5: Do you currently possess your expired or 1-year validity passport? Click “Yes”.

Step 6: Is there any information required to be modified on your passport(e.g., marital status, spouse name, surname)?* Click “No”, if you click “Yes”, the application stops, and this will be written.

Step 7: Are you applying for a minor’s New Passport. Click “No”.

Step 8: Please enter your 13-digit Identity Number (written on your existing Identity card) and click >> this icon or press “Enter”.

Step 9: Please enter your passport expiry date (written on your passport Number AB9****61) and “Start Renewal Application”.

Step 10: Fill out the Application in 5 easy steps.

1. Application Details: which CRC/CNIC/NICOP Number, Passport Number, and Passport Type are fixed. Choose Normal / Urgent, Number of Passport Pages Required (36 Pages / 72 Pages), Select Passport validity (5-Years / 10-Years), Select your passport office, where you collect your passport, and upload the picture (the picture should be 20KB), and click “Save”.

2. Personal Information: In this step, fill in the personal information.

3.Address / Passport Delivery: Fill out your permanent Address.

4. Documents / Fingerprints: download the fingerprints form and put fingerprint and scan the document into 600 DPI and upload it.

5. Information Review: Review your provided information.

and the last step to “Proceed to Payment”.

The method of Pakistani passport online renewal has ended, and now a message will be shown on the screen as “Application Submitted Successfully”.

An email will be sent to you about the submission.
