Phuket isn’t just about beaches and parties. Patong’s nightlife is wild, and the beaches are clean and awesome, but there’s so much more if you know where to look. Head to the Old Town for colorful Sino-Portuguese buildings, cafes, and some of the best street food in Phuket.

Where to Stay in Phuket (Without Breaking the Bank)

  • Budget ($5-20/night): Lub D Hostel (Patong) – Clean, modern, social vibes.
  • Mid-Range ($20-40/night): The Memory at On On Hotel (Phuket Town) – Historic charm, great location.
  • Beachfront Splurge ($50+): The Nai Harn – Right on the beach, epic sunset views.

Want an Airbnb? Look in Rawai or Kamala for quieter, more local vibes.

In my case, I booked a dorm just 150m from the beach, and I paid $5 per day. It was nice, cozy, comfortable, there are 10 beds in a big room, and every bed have there curtains for privacy.
