The total distance from Lahore to Islamabad on National Highway 5 is approximately 300 km. I started to ride early in the morning to Islamabad because early morning is the best time to start riding. While travelling on N-5 you can cross different cities along the way, some important cities are, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Lala Musa, Kharian, Jhelum, Dina, Sohawa, and Gujar Khan.

When you travel on National Highway you have to see the signboard of Rawalpindi instead of Islamabad.

If you are travelling to Islamabad from Lahore by Motorway M-2, the distance is about 300 km. You shocked! yes, travelling by N-5 having a short distance. But, the main thing, you all know about Motorways are very smooth to travelling.

Bikes are not allowed on Motorways.
