There are many Longjing tea plantations around West Lake. Most of the scenic tea plantation is near Hangzhou downtown and can even be reached by public buses.

It is located the southwest of West Lake Scenic Area. It is surrounded by hills on four sides. It is very famous for producing Longjing tea.
Meijiawu Tea Village
Meijiawu Tea Culture Village is located on the west side of Hangzhou West Lake.
Spring is the best time to go to Meijiawu. March and April are is tea picking seasons in Hangzhou. It is the best time to watch or experience picking tea, and taste good new tea.
The entrance fee is free.
